The Chamber Of Commerce Shall At All Times Work With The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Through Memorandum Of Understanding/Agreement In Actualizing It's Set Objectives.
To Promote The Development Of Business Of Members In All Economic Spheres Including Commerce, Industry, Mines And Agriculture Particularly In The Niger Delta Region And Throughout Nigeria.
To Hire, Employ And Determine The Employment Of Such Staff And Agents Upon Such Terms As The Chamber May Approve From Time To Time.
To Partner,Engage And Cooperate With The Nigerian Association Of Chambers Of Commerce,Industry,Mines And Agriculture(Naccima),The South-South Chamber Of Commerce,And Other Chambers Of Commerce Within The Jurisdiction Of Niger Delta Development Commission In Achieving The Set Objectives Of The Chamber And On This Note To Have The Representatives(Not More Than Five At Any Given Term)Of Naccima,South South Camber Of Commerce, And Other Chambers Of Commerce Within The Nddc States As Agreed Between Naccima And The Chamber On The Board Of Directors Of The Chamber.
To Do All Such Other Thing As Are Incidental Or Conducive For The Attainment Of The Aforesaid Objects.
To Establish Centres Of Excellence For Capacity Development, Skills Acquisition, Trade Promotion, Policy Advocacy, Disputes Resolution, Investment Promotion Directly Or In Partnership With Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), The Organized Private Sector, Other Government Or Corporate Bodies And To Collect And Disseminate Data And Other Information For The Purpose Of Enhancing The Development Of Commercial And Industrial Activities In The Niger Delta Region.
To Promote And Support Public Policies And Execute Measures For Enhancing The Growth Of Commercial, Industrial And Other Economic Activities In The Niger Delta Region.
To Support Any Legal Entity, Body Or Group Having Objects Similar To Objects Of The Chamber And Or Engage In Business Development, Economic Activities And To Encourage And Support Any Society, Chamber Or Group For The Promotion Of Enterprise, Commerce, Trade And Other Economic Activities.
To Purchase, Take Or Lease Or Exchange, Hire Or Otherwise Acquire Any Real Or Personal Property, And Any Rights Or Privileges, Which The Chamber May Think Necessary Or Convenient, For The Realization Of The Objects And Purposes Of The Chamber.
To Improve, Manage, Sell, Lease, Mortgage, Dispose Of Assets Or Otherwise Deal With Any Part Of Its Property In Promotion Of The Interest And Objects Of The Chamber.
To Enter Into Memorandum Of Understanding/Agreement With The Niger Delta Development Commission For The Proposes Of Providing Or Attracting Support, Direction, Ideas, Resources And Growth In The Economic, Commercial, Industrial And Agricultural Development Of The Niger Delta Region.
To Invest, Deposit And Deal With The Monies Of The Chamber Not Immediately Required In Such Manner As May From Time To Time Be Determined By The Chamber And To Set Up Special Purpose Vehicles For Such Activities.
To Print And Publish Or Collaborate In Printing Or Publishing Media, Journals, Periodical, Books Or Leaflets Whether Online Or In Hard Print, That The Chamber May Think Desirable For The Promotion Of Its Activities.
To Borrow, With The Approval Of The Council But Subject To A Limit That May Be Set By Annual General Meeting (AGM) Or Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM), Any Moneys As May Be Required For The Purposes Of The Chamber Upon Such Securities As May Be Determined Or Otherwise Deal With All Or Any Part Of The Property Of The Chamber For This Purpose.
