The Niger Delta Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines, and Agriculture (NDCCITMA) formally inaugurated its pioneer Board of Directors on April 4, 2025, at its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Established under the initiative of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Management, the Chamber is positioned to bridge the gap between the Commission and grassroots communities, with a strong focus on poverty alleviation, job creation, and sustainable socio-economic development.
The 36-member Board, drawn from the nine Niger Delta states, is chaired by Ambassador Idaere Gogo-Ogan, with Dr. Solomon Edebiri serving as Board Secretary. Their appointments reflect a commitment to inclusive representation and visionary leadership. The Board is expected to drive the Chamber’s mandate of promoting commerce, industry, trade, and investment across the region.
Representing the NDDC Managing Director at the event was Hon. Boma Iyaye, Esq., Executive Director of Finance and Administration. In his keynote address, the President of NACCIMA, Otunba Dele Oye, Esq., emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and professionalism in advancing the Chamber’s objectives.
The ceremony also featured the official unveiling of the Chamber’s logo and the commissioning of its office, marking a significant milestone in NDCCITMA’s journey toward fostering regional growth and economic transformation.
